Baraka was a live plant exhibition that encouraged visitors to understand how everyday life depends on plants. A collaboration between UCL Qatar and Qur’anic Botanic Gardens, it highlighted plants mentioned in the Qur’an and Hadith (sayings of Prophet Muhammed PBUH). Working within a team of Museum and Gallery Practice students, I covered two roles: a Graphic Designer and an Education & Community Engagement Officer.
As part of my role as an Edu. & Comm. Engagement Officer for the exhibition, I helped research, produce and run family and community workshops in Torba Farmer’s Market and Oxygen Park.
- DIY Family Activity – family works as a team to take home a decorated jar filled with a natural product, encouraging intergenerational interaction
- Community Planting – encouraging long term commitment and giving back to the community.
