This poster is an abstracted self-portrait. I picked an object—a single object—that felt like “me”. Next came the step of deconstructing and recreating the object visually and conceptually in hundreds of different ways. How does it make me feel? What about people that are like me—’us’? How do others see it—the ‘them’? Is it made of its physical components, or does it embody an idea? During the process, I produced many different styles of images, but the overall feel after curating and composing the poster is that of an intense buzz, telling a story about me.

Side note: the object was an (adorable) interactive robot I designed and built for the Tasmeem 2015 design conference.
